The Scoop Amphitheatre
An outdoor performance venue at the heart of the business district near Tower Bridge, The Scoop amphitheatre has witnessed organised musical and theatre productions but also many spontaneous gatherings of people taking a breather from their daily routines. It is juxtaposed between the wide expanses of the Thames and the crowded buildings of the business district.
London-based, rooted in the São Paulo contemporary art scene, Laima Leyton’s credentials in the world of music are firmly established as one-half of Mixhell alongside her husband Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura, Cavalera Conspiracy) and for her work with Soulwax. Now the producer, musician, activist, artist, mother and teacher unites her multifaceted talents with her ambitious double-vinyl debut album ‘Home’. Distributed by The Vinyl Factory and released by Deewee November 8th 2019. “Home is a fascinating and understated artefact of musical and domestic partnership…It’s stillness and subtlety belie its depth.” – Electronic Sound
